
"Authority" Should Be Grounded in Verifiable Information
Can the practicing entity, treatment subjects, assessment and monitoring procedures be clearly stated; can it be explained under what circumstances outpatient care is appropriate and under what circumstances inpatient care is needed.
Be Wary of Absolute Promises
Statements such as "one-time cure, guaranteed no relapse, painless" lack explanations of individual differences and generally should not be used as a basis for choosing a provider.
A More Prudent Decision-Making Sequence
First assess the risks → review the plan and costs → then decide whether hospitalization is needed. If necessary, you can communicate by phone first, then arrange a visit to the facility.
